Bonding is a technique which is often not covered in textbooks and articles for electronic designers as a separate topic. Mostly it gets mentioned in passing whilst other topics such as filtering, shielding, or cable shielding are being described. Books and articles on systems and installations are ore likely to have a section on bonding, but it is sometimes (potentially confusingly) called earthing or grounding.
